What time are the gates and box office opening on each day of the festival?
Friday 16th March: Box office opens: 11.00am; Camping gates open: 12 noon; Main gates: 3.00pm / Saturday 17th March: Box office open: 9.00am; Gates open: 9.30am / Sunday 18th March: Box office open: 9.00am, Gates Open: 9.30am.

When Will I receive my tickets?
Any ticket purchases from today (14th March 2012) will need to be collected from the festival box office. No further tickets will be posted. If you have already purchased tickets and not received them by COB Monday, please contact E-media on 1300 923 314.

Wristbands
Your wristband is your ticket so doesn’t forget to bring this. Upon entry you will be fitted with your wristband. Take good care of your wristband. It is not transferable and once it is removed it becomes invalid. You will be required to present your wristband to security upon request.

Does my weekend ticket include Friday?
Yes it does. Entertainment starts at 4pm on Friday (subject to change).

I have a ticketing question but can't find the answer in the FAQs. What should I do?

I only want to see one particular artist, if they cancel can I get a refund?
In the very unlikely event that ANY artist cancels, there will be no refunds. The ticket is for the EVENT, not the individual artists - much in the same way as the Big Day Out or Blues Fest.

Is there camping on site?
Yes – camping grounds will open at 12 noon on Friday the 16th of March and will close at 12 noon on Monday the 19th of March, 2012.

Is there a pensioners or concession ticket available?
No, much the same as Australia's other music festivals Big Day Out, Homebake, Splendour In The Grass, Bluesfest etc. we only have two standard ticket prices Adult and Junior (Child).

When is the latest I can purchase tickets online?
Tickets will be available online up until 3 days before the festival unless they have sold out before hand.

Will EFTPOS be accepted at the festival?
Please note that there are EFTPOS and limited cash-out facilities available at the bars. Everything else on site is CASH ONLY.

What happens if it rains?
It is the promoter's policy to 'play, rain or shine'. In the case of rain, ponchos will be available for purchase.

What sort of shoes do you recommend I wear?
The amphitheatre is grass underfoot so it is advisable to wear comfortable flat shoes.

Will there be alcohol allowed in the camping area?
The camping grounds are an alcohol free zone.

If I buy a camping ticket am I allowed to have alcohol at my camp and bring my own food to cook with?
You can bring in food to the camping ground, but not into the festival. The camping grounds are an alcohol free zone.

Yes - there will be passouts.

Where do I find out what shuttle buses are available?
Rover Coaches will be providing shuttle bus services at the event. All their services are scheduled and posted on their site www.rovercoaches.com.au

Can I cook at my camp site?
Camping gas cookers are allowed. Your equipment may be inspected by campground staff to ensure it is in good working order or if there is a concern regarding the equipment's age, type or use.

Guidelines for the Safe Use of Camping Gas Cookers:
Please have your cooking equipment serviced before bringing it to the festival.
Never light a gas cooker inside your tent or in any other enclosed area.
Always take note of the colour of the flame: It should be burning blue. It it's burning with an orange or yellow flame or is creating sooty stains on your stove you may have a problem with your stove so PLEASE DO NOT USE IT.
Do not store spare gas canisters inside your tent, mobile home or caravan.
If you smell gas or think you have a leak, turn the stove off, evacuate the area and get help from a site marshal.
Never use a naked flame to search for a leak.
"Empty" canisters and aerosols may not be completely empty. When you've removed it from your stove, store it upright outside your tent for a while to allow any gas that may remain to evaporate.
Never attempt to refill a gas canister.

How big can our tents and caravans be?
Site spaces are: 2 MAN (3.5x3.5m - inc tent only), 4 MAN (6x5m - inc tent & car), 6 MAN Caravan (6x12m inc car & caravan), 6 MAN Mobile Home (6x10m inc mobile home)
These dimensions are the maximum space that may be taken up by the relevant style of accommodations per respective area.

Are the camp sites designated or first in first served?
All camp sites are sold on a first come, first served basis. Marshals will be on ground to direct you to your site when you arrive. Please note that if you would like to camp next to your friends, you need to arrive at the same time. Sites will not be kept vacant for people who have not yet arrived.

Is there power at the camp site?
2 and 4 man sites do not have any power available to them.
For the 6 man mobile home and caravan sites, 15 amps of power will be available for each site. This will be approximately sufficient for a small lamp and a kettle. Patrons will need to provide their own extension cord (up to 30 metres in length will be required, depending on the site position) to plug into the camping ground distribution board. All extension cords must be tested and tagged as per Electrical Testing Standard AS3760.

Where are the camping grounds located and how far are they from the stage?
The camping ground is located on Hope Estate, to the west of the event area. From the furthest area of the campsite (the 2 man car park) it is less than 10 minutes walk. Please note, you cannot view the stage from the camp site.

Are prams permitted?
Yes, prams are permitted in the campground and event site. Due to the event's sound amplification, all small children should wear earmuffs.

What facilities are there for patrons with a disability?
There is abundant car parking including spaces for drivers with a disability on site at Hope Estate and allocations will be made as required for patrons with a disability. If you require a disability accessible spot or assistance throughout the event, please contact us.
Please note that any patrons in a wheelchair should bring their off road model (if possible) as it is an outdoor amphitheatre and camp site and there are no sealed roads.

Can you book campsites alongside each other?
As described above, campsites are sold as first come, first served' and as such it is not possible for you to choose specific sites. Please arrive at the same time as your friends or family if you wish to camp next to them.

Can I wear steel capped boots?
Yes you can.

Will tents be supplied?
No, tents will not be supplied.

What kind of food/drinks are going to be sold at the Hope Estate?
An extensive range of food and beverages will be available on site. Food will include pre-paid hampers, local restaurant stalls, and cheese stalls as well as lighter options. Snacks such as chips, nut, fruit and ice cream will also be available. The various food stalls will cater to all dietary requirements.

Can I smoke in all areas of the venue?
Smoking is only permitted in the outdoor designated smoking areas of the event. No smoking is permitted indoors.

Is there any seating at the event or is it all general admission?
All tickets for this event are general admission.

Can we set up a stall at the Festival grounds?
All stalls have already been allocated so unfortunately there are no opportunities at this time. We'll let you know if this changes.

Is there a group ticket discount available?
No, unfortunately there are no group ticket discounts available and you will be allowed up to 6 event tickets per transaction.

Can I bring my own chairs to the event?
Yes chairs are allowed into the event and the guideline is that low profile chairs and inflatable chairs fit this description. For chairs with legs we have a 30 cm leg height limit. We would ask that patrons exercise common sense and ensure that any seating they bring with them is easily portable and will not cause obstruction to others, event staff or event proceedings.There will also be a large semi circle 'chair free' zone from the mixing console area to the front of the stage area marked on the ground. This no chair area will be enforced by security.

Is the venue licensed?
CMC Rocks the Hunter is a licensed venue and alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase (including spirits). All patrons wishing to purchase alcohol must have photo ID.

Can I bring a camera?
You are able to bring a compact digital camera for personal photos only. Please note the following equipment will NOT be permitted inside the venue under any circumstances:
- SLR cameras are NOT permitted
- Video Cameras are NOT permitted
- Telephoto lenses are NOT permitted
- Lenses capable of 150mm zoom are NOT permitted

Can I bring my esky with food or drinks?
Hope Estate Winery and its outdoor concert amphitheatre is a fully catered venue (including spirits) and STRICTLY NO BYO FOOD OR BEVERAGE (including water) is to be brought on-site; this will be enforced by security at entry gates. Free drinking water will be available at the on-site bars. Patrons may bring in empty plastic bottles or plastic or foam cups for this purpose.
Food can be purchased from the food stalls and bars set up on site. Food available ranges from gourmet pies, to restaurant style meals. Gourmet Hampers can be pre ordered through the winery, these must be ordered no later than three days prior to concert date.
Please note that there are EFTPOS and limited cash-out facilities available at the bars. Everything else onsite is CASH ONLY.

Are pets allowed to the event?
Pets are not allowed in to the Hope Estate.
